
New research by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities finds Medicaid Expansion has saved at least 19,000 lives nationwide. Link to the report. Florida’s refusal to expand Medicaid caused approximately 2,776 deaths.
Some say that Medicaid expansion is a “Budget Buster” for Florida. In an analysis by the Commonwealth fund, the conclusion states “…Expanding Medicaid in Florida would not “bust the budget” but instead could result in savings and fiscal gains that far exceed the costs of expansion.”…
