The Suncoast Housing Collaborative (SHC) is an intentional partnership between service providers, community members, and property owners focused on identifying solutions to the housing shortage in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
The SHC believes in a Housing First model which aims to connect people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity to permanent housing as the first step in gaining self-sufficiency. We believe that success goes beyond obtaining physical shelter. Wraparound services are provided by local nonprofits to help each unique person or family receive the resources they need to establish long-term housing stability.
Launched on September 15th 2022, the SHC is seeking landlords, property owners, and building managers in Sarasota and Manatee counties to join us in lower housing barriers for our neighbors who are experiencing housing instability or homelessness.
SHC is offering a $250 membership bonus for new landlords who join the SHC. They are also offering a $2000 incentive for each of the first 5 leases that are signed with clients from the SHC. Find out more about the financial incentives and other benefits available to landlords who join SHC here.
