Fascism at Our Doorstep

Dr. Ruth Ben-Ghiat, an international expert on fascism and dictatorship.  Dr. Ben-Ghiat, an American historian and cultural critic, is the author of “Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present.”  She is a professor of history and Italian studies at New York University and writes for CNN, The Economist, The New Yorker, and Atlantic. She will be speaking about the rise of fascism and the global threat to democracies.

Prior to her presentation, from 4-6 pm, Florida pro-democracy groups will be present in the courtyard providing an opportunity for attendees to learn about their organization and their pro-democracy activism.
