Pack the House – Say No to Mid-Decade Congressional Redistricting

Although mid-decade redistricting clearly violates the Florida constitution, the Florida legislature is moving forward to conduct redistricting and has scheduled a meeting of the Select Committee on Congressional Redistricting’s on Dec. 4. League of Women Voters members from across Florida and supporters will be there with a goal of showing an irrefutable opposition, pack the committee room in defense of the will of Florida voters.  You do not need to be a member to participate.  LWVFL will give us the options to have seats on busses out of the Tampa/St. Pete area. We will have carpools leaving from 2 locations to the buses: 

• Central/West – Manatee Unitarian Church parking lot 322 15th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205
• East – Walmart parking lot 6225 FL-64, Bradenton, FL 34208

We need to fill the halls of Tallahassee, so get on the bus or drive…bring a friend! 

Members are encouraged to wear LWV and/or patriotic clothing but to avoid any partisan appearance – we will be emphasizing our non-partisan voice and standing in representing Florida voters.
