Are state agencies protecting Florida waters? Can a constitutional amendment assure no further water degradation of water quality in Florida? In this LWVMC Natural Resources Action Team meeting the guest speaker is Joseph Bonasia, the Southwest Regional Coordinator of the Florida Right to Clean and Healthy Water Campaign.

Bonasia is working with the organization Florida Right To Clean Water to get a citizen’s initiative on the 2024 ballot for a right to clean water.  The amendment is designed to ensure the good of ecological functions and processes were considered and respected by state actions (and inaction) and provides remedies.  The League of Women Voters of Florida is supporting this effort.
