Youth Education: Making Healthy Informed Choices- Reproductive Rights Action Team Meeting
With Florida’s extreme abortion ban, pregnancy prevention is more important than ever. Planned Parenthood is the #1 provider of sex education in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Kira-Lynn Ferderber, their local Outreach Educator & Community Liaison, delivers such education for people of all ages.
At our March meeting, Kira will discuss youth education efforts in our area. For years, Kira-Lynn was the sexual violence prevention educator with the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center in Sarasota. She was a 2024 Sarasota Magazine Unity Award winner for her work to prevent teen dating violence and empower teenage girls and people of all genders.
