The Fight for the Vote. The Continuing Quest for Equality

On August 26, we celebrate Women’s Equity Day. It is a day to celebrate the passage of the 19 Amendment granting women their right as a citizen to vote, to honor the legacy of those fought for 72 years for the right, and also to inspire us to continue the fight for equality.

Are you passionate about history, equality, and the power of collective action? Do you want to learn more about the courageous women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote? If so, we invite you to attend our upcoming presentation on the Women’s Suffrage Movement in the United States.

We will then jump to the Second Wave Feminist movement in the 1970s and the designation of August 26as Women’s Equality Day. Women’s Equality Day not only honors the suffragists who fought for voting rights but also serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for full gender equality—in law, in the workplace, and in society at large.

Understanding the Women’s Suffrage Movement is crucial for appreciating the progress made in the fight for women’s rights and recognizing the work that still needs to be done. This presentation aims to educate, inspire, and empower attendees to continue advocating for equality and justice in their communities.

We look forward to seeing you there!
