TASTE OF THE LEAGUE
The Manatee League has bimonthly general meetings called Taste of the League. At each Taste program we learn more about the League locally, statewide and nationally and learn more about League of Women Voters of Manatee County’s advocacy work. It is for members, potential members and the curious.
June 6, 2023 Taste of the League – The 5 attendees to the Florida Bi-Annual League Convention give and overview, impart information on League programs and relate their experiences.
March 23, 2023 Taste of the League. Natural Resources Action Team Chairs talk about the work this committee does and the challenges ahead.
January 1, 2023 Taste of the League. Ginger McCallum, Chair of the Government Action Team, talks about the team observations of the Board of County Commissioners, their advocacy work and future directions.

July 14, 2022 State Voter Services – What are the many facets of the state of Florida Voter Services Action Team and what do they do? How do they work with local leagues, citizens and partner organizations. Felecia Jett, League of Women Voters of Florida Voter Services CoChair, will answers all these questions and more.
In 2021, Felecia became Membership Chair-LWVFL and in 2022 became a member of the LWVFL Board of Directors and CoChair of the LWVFL Voter Services.
Carolyn Sheets, LWVMC gave a quick update on LWVMC Voter Services and there was a lively discussion of voting laws in Florida.
